Visual Supports for Autistic Children

Transitioning to a new school can be hard.  It can cause a lot of anxiety, so it is usually best to be proactive and prepare children for the change.  These stories can help introduce the transition to a new school.  It is best if you can take pictures of the new school and new teachers if you are able to and put together a little story with those specific details.  I hope this story helps start the conversation!  There is one that uses the language elementary/middle school, one that say primary/secondary and another from moving from preschool to elementary school (see below):
